Opaque and motion logos are the hardest to remove, you'll have to experiment and
decide what artifacts you can live with in the finished product. For things

In fact, my idea left the original video intact - didnt waste any time futzing with the computer & gave the same results.

I don't do any video editing at this time, but I believe the correct answer to this question is - find a better original source.
Great non-advice, if you happen to have access to pre-broadcast material.....
There are some real tools on this site, it's just a matter of time before they come out of the woodwork.
