Hey John, I'm in Oz also. On the off chance the VPN is causing your problem; I don't worry about VPNs for ROIOs as they're not commercial releases. If I was illegally downloading then I'd be using a VPN. Maybe, as the copyright on the music we get via here and similar sites is held by someone, things will change in the long run. Until they do, I'm going to keep on as I have. You could try connecting without the VPN just to see if it makes a difference...
...and don't let anyone bagging you out for a shitty ratio bother you (I've been known to do it, often at times) in the lounge or anywhere else, it's more of a leisure activity than a serious issue.
