yes, most internal mics on consumer cams are pretty crappy, and are highly prone to clipping at high SPLs [which most concerts would be considered high- to extreme-SPLs]

according to that site, the Panasonic performs a bit better in low-light situations, however i have always preferred Sony cams to Panasonic or JVC for various reasons, as well as the fact they use Carl Zeiss lenses [some of the best]...

at quick glance [i didn't pour through all the specs closely], if i were choosing between those 2 cams i'd probly go with the Sony...just my .02
