No and you NEVER want to capture as mpeg2. Capture it as a .m2t (lossless). do your synching/editing with that file then render it to mpeg2.
Ideally, instead of rendering it to mpeg2...you would just burn the .m2t file to a blu-ray/hd and have 'true' high def.
