Re: Seeder Control of torrents

I guess I am just saying I see a trend happening and it happens on almost
all bit torrent sites, I post a show, people start downloading such as the
4-20 MMW DVD show, and the first two weeks are the busiest when most
people grab it and there are a fair amount of peeps seeding their part. Now
its been two weeks and there have been a total of almost 200 downloads,
and there are no seeders, but 3-5 leechers, its like the whole thing is starting
over again fresh, problem being is it doesn't seem to take off because the
majority of the interested people are done with it, leaving me (original seeder)
feeling obligated to seed again...I'd just like to be able to lock it out, and
move on, now if anyone else would like to repost the show and torrent it
thats fine, or post a offer to burn B&P's for folks. I love to share, but with all
the good music and stuff out there that I'd like to get out to people, it just
makes things difficult with bandwidth and all. But I do think at the least the
seeder of the show if having problems with the torrent, should be able to fix
things and upload another torrent without having to contact a mod to pull it.
I am not saying to leave someone stranded if 3 people are still D/L the show,
I would seed till they were done of course, but no new leechers could start.

my $.02 cents.
