My Sony Vaio came with a Sony DL DVD burner, apparently made by LiteOn. It is crapping out, and it is about 6 weeks old. It gets stuck while writing the lead-out. Actually, the discs seem to burn ok, but I have to reboot to unlock the drive to get the disc out. Grrr.
I just have to make time on a day it isn’t 50 below or snowing to take it back for a new one. The guy at the store (Best Buy) told me they would replace it with one off the shelf, so I hope to get a plextor.
