There are actually three tools. DVDARipper.exe rips the AUDIO_TS folder to your hard drive for burning or mounting an unencrypted copy. Then PPCMRipper.exe is used with WinDVD to transcode the Packed PCM (aka MLP, a lossless multichannel format) to WAV. The third tool, DVDAExplorer_a7.exe is basically what the name says, some kind of information/explorer program.
And I'm sure there were some of us who thought to download them before the inevitable cease-&-desist.
