Let's not forget about the CD Paranoia ripping utility (which is implemented in the frontends Grip [for Linux] and xACT [for Macs]). It's the equivalent of EAC for non-Windows users.

(Sorry, what you just witnessed is a typical Linux user getting pissed off at Windows users forgetting that they're not the only OS out there and that not all of their programs are going to work on other systems.)
that's right... its in the FAQ somewhere.

99% of us are on PC and using EAC, so we sometimes forget to mention these details!
