Just posting a little something about using the PM (Private Message) system.
You may set your options for this system by going to
UserCP > Edit Options. On that page under "Messaging & Notification" will be several options:
- Enable Private Messaging - this turns the whole system On or Off
- Receive Private Messages only from Contacts and Moderators - this allows you to only receive messages from users on your Contact list and Moderators
- Receive Email Notification of New Private Messages - you will get an email whenever you receive a Private Message
- Show New Private Message Notification Pop-up - you will get a Pop-Up message on the site when you receive a Private Message
- Save a copy of sent messages in my Sent Items folder by default - this sets the default to always save copies of any Private Messages you send
So, if you are getting unwanted PMs, then please go over the options above and set them appropriately.
