for what its worth, the quality of the avi > dvd conversion is not only dependent on the prog used to convert, but also the compression setting of the orig avi...avi can be heavily compressed [like an mp3] or "raw" avi [high quality/no comp]
check videohelp.com might give some other progs to do this conversion
