I would take a look at videohelp.com. They have a ton of tutorials over there and I'm pretty sure I saw one for extracting the audio on a Mac. If not, register and go to their forums and there is a forum just for Mac users to ask for help in.
(Or.... put the word 'Mac' in your thread title and I'm sure ffooky will come along and tell you exactly what you need to do.
