Try seeding regardless of your TTD firewalled status. It's not that accurate.

If after a few months of seeding you find no one can connect to you (you've uploaded zero bytes), consider getting a VPN that offers port forwarding. Configure that forwarded port in your bittorrent program. Some ISPs block all bittorrent traffic and you'll need a VPN to bypass that.
