OK - here's an example of the issue I originally stated

Note the subject line on this torrent:
http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/...d.php?t=187430

Then note the subject line on the comment I posted under the torrent announcement. It still has the "#2023-021" that has now been deleted from the torrent announcement subject line.
