once you find the best way, for you, to get the hi def files into your pc, at best you'll be archiving those recordings you believe are worth holding on to. In some cases, you will be able to archive the video file on DVD, but there is at this point no way to produce hi-def DVD's playable on DVD players. I'm sure the technology will not be far behind
