Turns out--like the newbie fool I am--I used PAL format files (of the Pink Floyd Live 8 performance) for my test burn, so no surprise that they didn't play on my U.S. format standalone. Last night I downloaded the NTSC version, and then it worked like a charm. Lesson learned, the hard way. Sorry to raise such a ruckus, but all's well that ends well. Thanks again!
