I am trying to upload a new audio torrent but it keeps getting rejected by the forum. It says my fingerprint file is not acceptable. I have recently upgraded to the latest version of Traders Little Helper as my previous version no longer loads. I ran the checksum file with the .ffp and shntl and both were rejected.

Is the new version of TLH not valided by this site?

What do you mean you "ran the checksum file with the .ffp and shntl and both were rejected" ? Rejected by what? Can you copy/paste some of the ffps or st5s here? Use the [ code ] tags.

Is the OP trying to upload the ffp file as an attachment, rather than the torrent file....?

Sorry for the confusion or lack of information. I attached a screenshot. I created checksums with the .ffp and .md5 protocols.

Here is a sample of the codes:

Now do I have to wrap the checksum in [CODE] tags in the torrent thread? If that is the case, then that is probly the issue. Been 3 years since I uploaded a torrent here.

And the fingerprints were rejected by the forum here. The forum was not allowing me to submit the new torrent thread. It stated the fingerprints were in an improper format or something like that. I did not take screenshots. I'll try again wrapping it in code tags and see what happens.

Just tried again with [code] tags and got this same error:

Could you open up the fingerprint file you created with a text editor and paste that here?

Here is the text file. This is with the md5 protocol using the latest version of Trader's Little Helper.

I think GRC is right and the problem is that the OP is trying to upload the ffp file instead of the torrent file. You should copy/paste the ffp file in the box at the bottom of the upload page and upload the torrent file you created (manage atachments), then hit submit new thread, download the torrent file from the thread just created, point it to the appropiate folder and start seeding.

For audio uploads you should create ffp's or st5's, no md5's are allowed for audio.

Sorry thats not the case. I am uploading the torrent file in the torrent box. I ran two different checksum protocols, .ffp and .md5. I copy and pasted the fingerprints in the checksum box underneath the text file as shown below.

When I hit submit new thread i get the error above.

Do these ffp and md5 verify ok when checked with TLH?

For audio uploads you should create ffp's or st5's, no md5's are allowed for audio.

I get the same errors as stated above when I use the .ffp in Traders Little Helper. I have never had a problem doing this in the past, as I have uploaded numerous audio torrents to this site. The only thing I changed was upgraded to version 2.7.0 (Build 172) of Trader's Little Helper.

Yes.

I'll try again this time wrapping the .ffp fingerprints in [code] tags to see if that changes anything. Thats the last thing I can think of that I havent tried.

Good luck and if that doesn't work you could try to downgrade TLH and see if that does the trick. That's all I can think of at this moment.
