I do not understand why my ttd tracker uploaded numbers for the Band torrent does not even come close to my client's numbers (why DL=0 is total mystery to me). The numbers for the Bill Graham torrent seem ok. Here are the screenshots (client screenshot taken much earlier than the ttd tracker screenshot) :

thank you.

If you stop the torrent, your stats are saved to your overall stats. Then, if you start the torrent again, you start again at 0/0. We don't save your old stats for that torrent.

If you stop the torrent, ...Is turning off my computer equivalent to 'stop the torrent'?

Yes. Also, if you turn the computer off before your torrent client updates the tracker (while the torrent client is running), you may lose 1/2hour or so upload stats. No that that really matters in the grand scheme of things.

What torrent client are you using? With utorrent, left click on the torrent that is uploading and then click on update tracker. Shut down the torrent client and shut the computer down. But really, why are you worrying about it? Your ratio is decent. Surely you can find more worthwhile ways to occupy your time than by worrying about maximising your ratio on a torrent site?

thnx U2Lynne & lintoni for the reply

thnx again!

This, when the stats for the torrent get ditched, you still are credited in your overall up/download, so you don't necessarily lose anything, except keeping count on the torrents that are open...

When you turn off the client, you start over on each torrent, as the count gets reset. Turning off your computer shuts down your client...

If you shut down uTorrent, it will auto-update & nothing is lost. If you force shutdown on your computer, you might lose what transacted since the last client/server update...

One thing to keep in mind... There is no ratio enforcement here, so it's not a big deal...

Paul, thnx for your contribution to this topic.

btw, my ratio was never a concern to me. I just wanted to get educated on how that stats table functioned. Other torrent sites have stats tables but vary in content & functionality.

thnx all!
