How can I create FLAC fingerprints using the 'flac' program under Linux?

Nevermind, I figured it out - you need to use metaflac instead.

Yep!
For anybody else curious, open terminal in folder containing flacs and type:
metaflac --show-md5 *.flac>fingerprints.ffp
This will create a textfile (suffixed ffp) that contains your fingerprints.
As a side note, you can do a lot of useful things with lossless files (flac, shn) using the etree-scripts package (search for it in your package manager, or using your search engine of choice).

Nah, for the splashy typists amongst us, open a terminal and then copy and paste
metaflac --show-md5 *.flac>fingerprints.ffp

Or even write a fancy shell script, and associate it with .flac files in the desktop environment, making it second or third right-click option (leaving a media player as first option).

No, the Rixus is a motorised rickshaw, but lacks aircon and stereo. I hope this helps.
