I was working on my audio from TSO last night. I recorded in 24-bit, 48k WAV. The original bit rate is 2,304kbps. After editing, tracking, and FLAC'ing. The bit rate in the files ranges from around 281kbps to 331kbps. Is this still lossless? Because honestly, I'm not sure...any guidance is very welcome.

I edited in Audacity 1.3, and FLAC'd it in Trader's Little Helper. The only edits I made were amplifying the audio, and converting to a L&L mono (lots of microphone bumps on the right channel).

It's the result of FLAC compression. Don't worry.

Alright, I just wasn't sure. Because the bit rate was suspiciously low. And I know for a fact that I taped it losslessly. :D

Okay, I see what happened, instead of exporting to 24-bit, like it was recorded in, I exported to 16-bit. Well, I still have the original WAVs if I want to make a 24-bit version.
