I have what probably is a pretty dumb question, but I don't know the answer so I'm going to ask it anyway.
I downloaded a PAL format DVD, but my standalone DVD player isn't recognizing it (I live in the US). To be honest, I thought PAL/NTSC only applied to VHS tapes. Is this not true? Is this the likely reason that my standalone player isn't recognizing it? If so, how can I convert the PAL DVD to NTSC and will any quality be lost during the conversion (I am using a Mac G4)?
