View Full Version : Quick question about spectral analysis
What does the color signify?
I'm thinking volume or signal strength with yellow being the "loudest/strongest". Am I correct?

i know the colors correspond to the intensity or volume, but which colors are what, i don't know...
Five?
time is left to right, frequency in Hz is from top to high. so this is you x-y axis.
each thin vertial line is a moment of time. each dot of color within each line corresponds to strength of the signal at that moment and frequency. Yellow is strongest, Red is almost as stong, the Violet, then Blue, then last and least is Black. Black means no signal present.
Hope this helps
Thanks for the replies, guys. I thought that's what it was, but didn't want to assume.
Yes, it helped.
