That's a very nice guide Lynn. One question:

I've never put a blank AUDIO_TS folder in Toast and the DVDs seem to work just fine. Is there any reason why one should do this?

Also, can you leave the text file in your folder and have the DVD still play normally?

somebody was saying a ways back that they used a folder called EXTRAS_TS and put the .md5, .txt and coverart, etc in there and it worked fine on a standalone. I haven't tried it yet.. seems worth a shot to me.

not sure about the AUDIO_TS folder... is it possible that its not really necessary? since its 0k I never tried leaving it out.

This is what I've been doing lately and I haven't had any problems with this method. I just haven't update the picture on my guide yet. But, I will in the near future.

I've left it out many times. It seems that it's an old practice that came about because the older DVD players need them. My DVD players do fine without it, but also do fine with it, so if I remember, I put it in.

Just to throw my two cents in here, I burned a Drive By Truckers DVD this morning and tried usings an EXTRAS_TS folder for the first time and it won't play in my parents standalone (I'll have to check mine when I unpack all my stuff after moving to California in a few weeks). They have a Panasonic DVD-S35. I use Roxio Easy CD Creator to burn a data disc on a PC.
