Waiting to See Files Share Too

I'm downloading 2 in open btjunkie (there is upload activity too) I am downloading 1 here (about half done) there is no upload activity...
Utorrent is letting the other files upload while downloading, but not on the one I started from tradersden. Will uploading (sharing my download) begin from here only after the file is ready to seed and completed? Or am I having problems? When I first came here (2 days ago) I got a red firewall indicator... (I can thank you) because my Norton Internet Security had become unknowingly corrupted.. Yesterday, they replaced 2009 with 2010.. and now no firewall indicator here... I checked into portforwarding etc. to checkup on things... but still only one way activity (download)... Does anyone know the answer or has suggestions as to what I must do to allow uploads from here? So I can share... do I have to wait until it's finished before I see other users accessing the file? Sorry to be so unfamiliar with things here.

seems that you are the only downloader on the two things you are grabbing here. One needs other leechers to seed. One can seed while leeching (no need to have finished the download first) if there are other folks leeching.....so sez dumb old me.

Well that's the way I've always seen it work.. or so I've thought...Maybe I'm unfamiliar with a smaller trading community? If so, somebody will eventually access... can it be I picked a torrent of small interest? Just trying my best to make sure things are working right...

or get on the seed earlier when others are still leeching, right....happy to try n help anyone trying to fix up their ratio

As daddyrayoll said, you are the only leecher on the two torrents you are downloading, so there is no one for you to upload too. There need to be other leechers in order for you to upload to someone.

yep! hate seeing red... lol in fact I'm still bleary eyed after looking at all those router and IP address numbers... seems I read something here about not having too many downloads going at once.. so I tried only 2, and the other one failed at 3% (seeder left) so of course, maybe I can pick more popular torrents? Guess time will tell and maybe I'll try starting another couple for good luck...

Well, port configuration nightmares are over for the time being.. Just to let all know I picked a more popular torrent... and the speeds upload and download on it are wonderful here... should be able to seed it soon !
BTW, I've been to "The Lounge" lol
But still no one is uploading from "Men At Work" right now (even after two days) Go figure, I thought they were well liked. (My Grateful Dead download is taking off... hahahaha .....go figure.)
