I was uploading ca2009-06-11.flac with no problems, then I got this message:

Error: Existing data file length too large [1133>1094]:F:\BONNAROO2009\charlieallen2009-06-11\ca2009-06-11\info.txt

Does anyone know what this means and/or how I can fix it? I've not had a problem uploading torrents in a while. Want to know if it's something on my end so I get this back up.

Thanks, Russ C

That's a weird one.

I googled it and got this link - http://www.azureuswiki.com/index.php/Existing_data_file_length_too_large :
On some systems you might get a warning like Data missing: Existing data file length too large [2255>2211] or Error: Existing data file length too large [1265215204>1264175648] — this is how you fix it:

(optional step) Make a backup copy of the affected data file(s). Beware that if more than one file in the torrent has this problem, you will need to back these files up too, even if you do not know what the files are. Therefore you can back up the whole torrent instead if you have doubts.
Stop the affected torrent
Go to Tools > Options (http://www.azureuswiki.com/index.php/Options) > Mode . Select "Intermediate"
Go to Tools > Options (http://www.azureuswiki.com/index.php/Options) > Files (http://www.azureuswiki.com/index.php/ConfigFiles)
Enable the Truncate existing files that are too large option
Click the Save button
Force-Recheck the torrent
Start it

This should fix it — if not, come to the IRC (http://www.azureuswiki.com/index.php/IRC) channel.

Lynne, I'm not quite sure who to notify about pulling that first Charlie Allen torrent, the one referenced in this message. I uploaded a new torrent that I hope will work.

Here's the addy: http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/showthread.php?t=73434

I'll pull it. You would normally just hit the Report this Post button, http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/images/buttonsttd/report.gif, and then whichever mod is online at the moment could pull it.
