First Timer with Issues...

Just DL'd DMB at the Beacon from here. The DL seemed to work just fine. I then burned it to a dual layer DVD so I can watch it on my big screen. The DVD will play on my laptop but not on my DVD or Blu Ray player. Help please?

Hi, sorry to be so stupid but I don't even know what those two things mean. I live in Canada and have a 6 month old Blu Ray. The discs I burned are in the .VOB format. Would this make a difference?

go back and look at the files you burnt...look for NTSC or PAL and learn a bit about regions. It may be that or another kind of compatibility issue.

Have you every successfully burned a DL DVD before? Have you successfully burned a regular DVD before? What application are you using to burn the DVDs?

Pal is a format which is used in some parts of South America and all of Europe, NTSC is a video format we use here. If you did record a pal format it will not play in your dvd player because the dvds are divided into regions, we are region 1. Maybe the disc you used is not compatible with your dvd player............
