This message is simply to let you know that after a brave four month fight against an aggressive form of cancer, my husband Koolkat passed away on Thursday 02 April. The music and views shared on this site enhanced his life and i would like to thank all those that traded with him.

Now that's the way to have a funeral; a celebration of life. It's wonderful that you are not have the standard funeral but are instead playing the music KK loved and shared and celebrating his life, that's how it should be. My deepest condolences and prayers go out to your family.

KK and I had some interesting correspondence over the years. Unfortunately, you can only save 50 PMs here at TTD, so I delete most of them to make room for new ones. Since most of our correspondence was via PM and not email, almost all of our correspondence is gone. Bummer.

i didnt know about his sense of humour
nor did i know about his personal choice of music.
but i do know the pain of losing somebody.
i lost my only son recently this past june.
the pain of it is so intense it rages on and wont let go sometimes.
the cure for this pain is music. a daily dose of it.
especially the ones my son listened to.
its almost like he's here again.

I know this has been a number of years, but I thought I would post. I interacted with K_K over on the NPF Forums back when they had a tracker. I had a VHS of the 1994-06-22 HHH Metrodome show in Minneapolis MN. He wanted to transfer it, clean it up and share it. We were in contact and then it became increasingly hard to get a response from him. I found him at Dime, but his responses were far inbetween until I never heard from him. I discovered this thread a few years ago and was saddened to hear of his passing. I never wanted to post here because I didnt want to seem like I was just after my VHS tape and show. (The quality wasnt that good, anyhow) My reason for posting here is that I do want to say I am sorry to hear of his passing and it seems as thought the community has "lost a good one"

It's been a few years now but KoolKat's legacy lives on here at this site. He would be so proud to see how many great videos have been preserved since his passing and how much the community continues to grow.

I still think there's a couple of his videos that are still active here. His video post of George Harrison's last live performance 4-6-92 has been circulating for years and defines what this community is all about.
