New to this site.

I get shows on guitars101.com. For that site, I download a .rar file onto my computer. Next, I extract the files, and listen to the music on Realplayer, Limewire, or place on my Ipod. But I'm having trouble here on this site.

For this site, I saved the torrent onto my computer. I have utorrent on my computer, which I open and started downloading my file. This completed after 8 hours. Now what? How do I open the file to listen to the music.?

What the hell is a FLAC file? Realplayer does not understand this format?
I reopened the torrent (I guess) and press the green arrow, which started the seeding process (I have no idea what this means).

What am I missing? I don't understand the proceedure. It's very simple on other sites (U2star.com, guitars101, other bootleg sites, etc).

Any help is appreciated.

This site is a bit more, well, elaborated than crappy MP3-download-sites, thatīs for sure. For playing FLACs, use tools like Winamp or Foobar. FLAC is a lossless audio-format, more here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_Lossless_Audio_Codec

guitars101 is a bullshit site whose members mostly use to alter lossless FLACs (from here or other lossless "bootleg"-sites) to lossy MP3s and refuse to fill the original uploaderīs / taperīs request that their offers may never be shared in MP3-format.

The seeding process means that you give back to other users what you downloaded (= leeched). Thatīs a good thing. Keep that up.

you should check out our FAQ as well...there is a Glossary, info on bit torrent, lossless info and links to free programs for playing/converting flac and shn files, etc etc

Thanks for your help. I will explore Winamp. But will I be able to eventually place these concerts on my iPod or burn onto a disc? And I will seed once complete, but play nicely with others.

you will be able to use these files to burn (as flacs if youlike) and on yer iPod (once the are converted to a readable format...apple lossless or whatever). check the FAQ and be patient it does take a bit of time to get it down and then it is second nature.
