I have been around this subject before and I keep making the computer breakdown and I loose my programmes ... So, is there anyone out there who can help and advise and suggest somewhere I can get flac frontend with the condec so that I can go about my happy life of downloading and enjoying the rich tapestry of sounds out there ... Please, thanks and cheers!

You seem to have settled on the solution (flac frontend) but haven't told us the problem.

What do you want to do? Have you got flac files that you've downloaded from here? If so, what do you want to do next - play them off your hard drive, or burn them to CD and listen to them from there.

Tell us what stage you've got to - what have you done so far?

Thanks for responding and apologies for being confusing! I had a major computer breakdown and when I got fixed all my programmes were gone, so I have been downloading them again ... the problem with flac frontend is every time I get it, it does not have its codecs (?) which means it won't work ... I have tried a variety of website and the the best bet seemed to be the flac website, but I simply can't identify what I want. There was an email here a good while back and the correspondent offered a link and solution, but that link is now dead and gone ... Hope this makes it clearer. Again, thanks ... cheers!:)

Go to http://flac.sourceforge.net/download.html and download the Windows Installer and the FLAC Front-end (scroll down the page for the latter).

Have you considered Traders Little Helper instead? http://tlh.easytree.org/

Thanks dude87 ... I shall take your advice. Cheers! U2Lynne ... I downloaded Traders Little Helper, but I had the feeling that flac frontend was easier for me to follow! The years are catching up with me and, believe me, computer and I don't get along ... I have to keep it simple!
