Hey,

I downloaded some great world music mp2's from Dime today. :D
I want to be able to play them on my stereo and not only on my pc. I know not to distribute the wav versions, this is for personal use.

I used Trader's Little Helper and converted them to wav.

Then I went to AShampoo to burn them and it doesn't accept them in "burn audio cd".

My stereo doesn't play mp2. The same thing happened with some David Gilmour radio broadcasts that I got from Yeeshkul.

Any way to do this?

Thanks!

open them in Audacity [or some other audio editing program] and convert to 16/44.1 wav

not positive Audacity will accept mp2 or not, but worth a try

Hey,

Yes! Someone else told me the same and its working! Very cool to know, thank you for the reply. This stuff isn't easy for those of us not tech-minded as others. But now it is. I hope your reply helps others.

Unfortunately Audacity doesn't accept MP2. I usually convert to WAV with VLC and then do what needs to be done.

EDIT: Oh, it didn't last time I tried but it's good to know that it does now :)

Here's what I do --

I convert them to wav with TLH, then with Audacity set them to 44 and 16 bit. That does it. This is the kind of thing someone who doesn't work with audio a lot would never know. :)

audio cds have to be exactly 16bit/44.1kHz, the mp2 is probably a little off thus the need for conversion
