Sorry for starting a new thread on this, but I can't find a way to contact staff, and couldn't find appropriate thread.

I've been seeding a bunch of active stuff for a few days now, which I'm pretty sure people are downloading from me, and yet my upload share number is stuck at 10.89 Gigs.

I understand that there is no min share ratio, and i won't get booted, but I would like to get my share upabove 1.0, and have kept seeding these for that very purpose.

Once again, sorry if i'm wasting someone's time. i was just curious.

You may only upload ten shows at a time (ref: Are there seeding/leeching limits? Or, what does Connection limit exceeded mean? (http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/faq.php?faq=bittorrent#faq_connection_limit) ) Any shows over that will not be kept track of by the tracker. Every show on your Current activity on tracker list (on your profile page) has 0 leechers, so Stop those torrents and only seed those that have some leechers so you will get credit from the tracker.

Thanks Lynne. I knew about the d/l limit. It was the u/l limit that escaped me. I'm taking care of that now.

Interesting. I had no idea. No wonder my ratio sucks. Thank You Lynne!:)

the insatiable downloading had nothing to do with it ;)

That's it, vlad, next time someone bothers you about your share ratio, say it's all Lynne's fault. :D

I have seen that quite a few people don't know about this 'rule' even though many sites limit either uploads or downloads or both. It's covered in the FAQ, and it should give a tracker error in your bittorrent client, but most people don't seem to look in either the faq or the status box in their client. I'm not really sure how to make it more 'visible'.
