DVD Karaoke

I know this probably isn't the best place for this but a lot of help has come form these forums and the information I've received regarding other issues has always been 100%

The task: How do I burn karaoke files to a DVD disc so that it will play on a Karaoke DVD player?

I have no problem burning cdg or bin files to a CDR but when it comes to throwing them on a DVD...nada!!

Basically, the reason for this is that my dad runs a karaoke at local bars and has endless amounts of CDG discs. I was thinking that if I could place all these songs on DVD's that it would limit the number of discs he has to carry around and sort through (obviously because DVD has more storage space than a plain old CDR)

Any ideas?
