I have a show that I just got in the mail on DVD and these are the characteristics of it. Please let me know what the lineage would look like. I read the lineage thing on where you upload the DVD but I'm just confused trying to decifer all that. I am an idiot, I know.

1. It is a very nice copy, but VHS sourced by the lines along the very bottom.
2. It's like a widescreen, only sideways. lol. The sides have black bars but the tops and bottoms do not.

3. Pro-shot.
4. Menus: Blue screen with screencapture of the show in the 1st square.
5. Chapters are non existent. One single chapter for the 39 minute show.
6. Was not broadcast on TV.

Any help?

the menu notes/chapters above indicate a stand alone burn. I suspect you will find the bitrate to be low also. around 4.5.

it is something like this.

Video: Unknown Proshot> (Master, 1st Gen, Low, Med, High Gen)* VHS > SA > DVD

you need to use your judgment to assess the gen of the vhs. If you don't know it is probably not a master or a 1st gen.

are you sure there is no tv logos on the video?

Shows what I know.

gen stands for generation. low means it has had low generational loss. high gen means it is a copy of a copy of a copy, etc... and has a lot of analog generation loss.

I want to see the size of the frame. should be in g spot. 720X480, etc... But so far it looks great.

Please post the location of where this was filmed. like the show took place in Los Angeles, CA. or London, England... or wherever.
