View Full Version : Can't upload a new show! (Submission page keeps reloading.)

Greetings, all! I'm trying to upload a new show, but every time I click on "Submit New Thread," the page just reloads. All of the information I submitted is still there, and as far as I can tell, I have filled everything in correctly, and attached the torrent file in the correct manner.

I've uploaded a number of shows to the site before, and have never had this problem. At first I thought it was due to the "Firewalled" problem which suddenly appeared today, but I fixed that, and I'm still having the problem. Any thoughts you all might be able to provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

there should be a message somewhere on the page telling you what you missed... did you attatch the torrent?

Yep, the torrent is attached, and the page isn't telling me about anything I've missed. I'm completely stumped.

try opening a new blank upload form in another tab. then click between the rejected one and the fresh one, looking for any difference (aside from what you typed).

I'm not sure how to help you since this is the first time I've heard a complaint about this sort of thing without some sort of message given. maybe its a bug we need to get sorted out? if nothing else works, perhaps you could post screencaps so I can see what you're seeing.

Well, this is interesting...I'm trying it on a new page, and now I can't upload the torrent file:

"Upload of file failed. If this is a torrent upload failure, see list of common causes on the Upload Page."

Everything else is exactly the same as before. I tried redoing the torrent file, but that didn't fix the problem.

I'm thinking about it now but not certain what is going on there. if you can get the screencaps up I can look it over. Hopefully somebody here staff or otherwise can guess what the problem is.

Here's the screenshots. I took them in Safari, but the problem is identical in both Safari and Firefox. Actually, I can't get either one to do the "endless loop" problem anymore, as the upload simply fails, as you can see in the "Manage Attachments" screenshot.

I've cleared the Firefox caches (I know it worked because the "Firewalled" indicator no longer appears), and managed to upload the same show to two other sites. I'm stumped.

I've deleted the torrent from the tracker, so you should be able to upload that again. I'm guessing that you are running into the problem of too much text. Try uploading the show and shorten the Text File part of the upload page alot - stop before "Links:". Fill in the rest of the form and attach the torrent file and then try to submit it. It should (hopefully) submit now. Then you can go back and hit the Edit button and add in some text or just add a note to say the rest of the text file is in the second post and then add it there.

I tried to do the text edit you suggested, and it started doing the endless loop again. I took out ALL the text, and replaced it with one word, but that still didn't work.

Anybody have any thoughts on this?

You aren't getting any sort of error at all? You can send me the text file and torrent file and I can try it myself and see if I can figure out what's wrong - [email protected]

It uploaded just fine for my using firefox on my mac. I put "xxxx" in where the fingerprints should be, so you should hit the Edit button on the thread to add those in (I changed the thread/post owner to your name/id). I don't know what went wrong... you've done this before, so it's not some sort of newbie thing. Maybe the browser cache had to be cleared?

Ahhhhh, I wonder if that was it. I made a pretty short title on it which bbernardini then edited to be longer. I wonder.....
