I have the AdBlock Plus extension for Firefox. I can't remember the last time I saw an ad. MSN seemed to have found a partial work-around last month or so. I didn't see the ad, but Hotmail came up slow & I saw a white space where the ad would have been. Two days later that was gone too.

Here's a list http://adblockplus.org/en/subscriptions.

Easy List and Easy Element are probably the best. I use ABP Tracking Filter too.

Oh and also Rickroll Blacklist Blocks known renditions of Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up”. Seriously. See it here http://rickrolldb.com/ricklist.txt

lol at the rickroll blacklist :D

so you subscribe to three lists? is it good to just subscribe to every list on that page, or just choose the three you list? thanks.

I use the 3 lists and I rarely see an ad.

try admuncher for free for 30 days; loved it so much I made the donation and got lifetime subscription and it works quite well with all browsers
