Downloaded a certain "video montage"...i'm a bigtime newbie when it comes to this stuff and I don't even want to burn a DVD..

All I want to be able to do is play it on my PC (windows media, winamp, etc)

There are various .ifo and .vob files....
I was able to get a few of them to play but it looked like a lot of screens spliced together ,etc

Can someone PLEASE help me? Which file do I play and how do I play it?

Thanks!!

also I have appeared to have found the main file I need and play it in VNC..however it has one scene skips to another and then goes back and forth to the original one...as if there are 2 files on top of each other

I use PowerDVD to play on my PC. Just select file on HD > find and select the VIDEO_TS folder and you're set.

There's other free players too... you just need a DVD player since those are DVD files.

You can check the software section of the FAQ and find several programs. The one I always recommend, since I remember the url, is VLC at videolan.org

thanks lynne...as I posted I'm now finally getting it to play!! :)

However it's as if it's playing all of the scenes at once :(

Are you sure you finished your download? If you try to play a file before the download has finished, it will be all wonky.

Yep, sounds like your download didn't finish.

Wonky. Is that a technical term?

I don't know. I saw it used somewhere right before I replied to this thread and it seemed to fit. :D
