View Full Version : Why showing as zero seeders when I'm seeding?

My Jack Bruce torrent has sent around 80% out to the seeders; according to Azureus, I'm seeding at between 15 - 25kB/s, 22 out 30 peers connected to me, but the display on the thread shows only the peers, and 0 seeders.....
curious. Anyone suggest why?

Restart it.
See what that does. (Unless you're tried.)

According to your profile, you are not connected to any torrents at the moment. Do you have DHCP off? Did you remember to seed the show using the torrent you downloaded (you must make sure to delete the original torrent from Azureus first before adding the downloaded one)?

My PC 'hung' around 12.30am today, and according to my time settings, you said the above at 1.20am, when the PC would still be inactive, so that probably doesn't give a clear indicator.

DHCP - don't know.

I always use the personalised torrent file, and I make sure the original uploaded one, created with Azureus, doesn't get opened prior to downloading and opening the personalised one. Downloading the personalised one, I always overwrite the uploaded one, so there's only ever one torrent file on the PC for any one torrent.

Seems to have all finished OK, 30 or so leechers have got to 100%, so.... we'll see what happens next time!

I don't think she meant DHCP - I think she meant DHT..

Damn, I knew I didn't mean DHCP (that's for routers) but I knew it started with DH.... I'm just not able to think at the moment..... *I* knew what I meant, dammit!!!!

I think I know what the problem may have been. The tracker only allows you to seed ten shows at a time. I'll bet you started trying to seed this show after you were already listed as seeding ten shows. Next time, try to make sure you aren't already seeding so many shows (turn off the ones with 0 leechers).

What's the point of seeding so many shows if you're only uploading 3 kbps?

Ever hear the phrase "Every Little Helps" ?

No it doesn't.

You were seeding 14 shows and only uploading 3 kbps to one.

If you split your upload speed between three shows, or more, if your UL allowed, you would be doing SOMETHING.

Then, you can check the other shows periodically to see if any of them need seeders to complete, and seed them as needed.
