Hey guys. Is there any way to get more than 80 minutes ona "disc" that will play in a regular cd player? I know about dvd-audio but want to play it on a cd boombox. Thanx, bry

There are many lossy ways to do it if the player handles the formats. If you mean in .wav format 16/44,100, I don't think so.

You can "overburn" a few extra bits of data onto a data disc but I have no clue if an overburnt disc would play on a standard CD player.

90 and even 99 minute cd-rs exist, for an example:

You would have to try if they burn/play on your gear.
As they are outside the Red Book (Audio CD) specifications, imho I would only use them for personal use, not for trading.

Iīve recently burnt 81 or 82 minutes on a standard Verbatim blank using Nero or EAC several times, even older players didnīt have problems with it.

yeah I've never seen problems with discs overburnt up to 82 minutes on any SA players
