I have a song that I want to extract from a DVD. However, it's split over two "VOB" files.

I imagine VDub must have a way to select out the two pieces I want and join them together, but I'm at a loss to figure out how to do it. Anyone know? TIA.

You can use DVDShrink to cut out a piece of video from a DVD that spans multiple VOBs and it will do it without any loss as well.

If the DVD has chapters, you can extract the needed chapters using VOB Blanker (http://www.videohelp.com/tools/VobBlanker). Then, using DGIndex (http://www.videohelp.com/tools/DGMPGDec), you can extract the songs.
If not, extract the audio using DGIndex (http://www.videohelp.com/tools/DGMPGDec), open the audio file in Audacity (http://www.videohelp.com/tools/Audacity) and cut/join the needed parts. (Audacity does not support for ac3 or mp2, but you can convert the audio file from those 2 formats into WAV with Belight (http://www.videohelp.com/tools/BeLight) & BeSweet (http://www.videohelp.com/tools/BeSweet))

I don't have VirtualDub in my PC, but using VirtualDubMod, you can extract the audio like this:
- select the needed parts with the two half arrows (last two buttons, from the left part, bottom of the screen)
- then go to Streams -> Stream list -> Save WAV

Sorry if you don't understand something.

Kill, thanks for the info but I should have been more specific and indicated that I want to cut out a video portion of the original file (to post on YouTube).
