Here's the post I made in the STP - Latrobe concert thread

Anyone else have this problem here when trying to convert to burn this after downloading?

edit: plus I did the md5 checksum thing and things came out okay, except for the txt file. :lol4: whatever that means.

Did you run the md5s on the files to make sure they were complete?

Also, I noticed you posted in the thread also. That is the correct place to post this sort of thing. You need to give people time to answer though. Not everyone burns their shows right away (it usually takes me several months before I burn them).

Yeah, as I was saying in the post, I ran the MD5 and everything checked out except for the .txt file. Not sure how the text file could be messed up, but I don't know everything.

Whoops. I guess I need to put my reading glasses on! :nerd:

Give them a day to answer. You know, you don't need to use a converter to burn the show. You should just use Nero or Ones (or Toast on a Mac).

If people would read and follow the Seeding Guide (http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/faq.php?faq=videorules#faq_videoguide) this would not be an issue. The text file, covers, jpeg's, etc should NOT be in the folder when the MD5 is created.

That would explain the .txt file problem, but NOT the .vob file problem. The .vob file was giving me the error, the md5 thing brought up the text file, not that it was causing much of an issue.

It was the video_ts.vob that was giving an error.

Use Nero and make a DVD video and just add the contents of the downloaded video ts folder and drag them over to the nero video ts folder on the left.
jUST Ignore the errors and hit burn.
The dvd is all good.

Forget NERO. When it comes to burning DVDs it's a coaster factory.

Download and install PgcEdit here:

http://download.videohelp.com/r0lZ/pgcedit/index.html#download

Use PgcEdit to convert the VIDEO_TS folder to an image file. If applicable, it will automatically prompt you to correct a number of common errors introduced during the authoring process.

Go to the Options -> Input/Output and make sure you check "When saving, leave 32k of space between IFO and BUP"

Select the flame to create image file.

Download and install DVD Decrypter:

http://www.dvddecrypter.org.uk/

Right click on the image file and select "Burn with DVD Decrypter"

Burn at 2.4x and select verify. Done. No coasters.

The reason why we require seeds to be as a VIDEO_TS folder is because that's what DVD's are supposed to be. NO CONVERTING REQUIRED OR NECESSARY.

Get ONES, open it, Record VIDEO_TS...That simple. Hands down, best dvd program for pc, especially dual layers.
