Thanks. Hmm. When I ping by name it resolves and I can telnet in to port 80. But the page will not display in IE. I see the top of the page for a split second and then it goes to the dreaded "page cannot be displayed" I put the evil Office2007 on my PC since I have to support it for work. I wonder if that did it. Might have to put firefox on the machines

Put Firefox on the machine and connected immediately. I guarantee you its some sort of "improvement" that Office2007 mad to IE for me without my knowledge. Microsoft... Its both the bane of my existence and the source of my income....

Looks like they need to repair their database. Hopefully that will bring it back. But, that error sometimes means there is a bit more trouble ahead.

I was on the LL chat and the mods are well aware of the problem. They believe they were hacked but don't know for sure. Since most are at work they most likely won't be able to fix it until this evening. They should be back up and running soon - hopefully. In the meantime they are telling everyone to keep their current seeds and downloads going. That's all I know.

I noticed that the new gd tracker became unable to get to right around the same time. uttorent does show a server error on torrents for shnflac

I know I've said this before, but personally I like Farthur more than Furthur....Farthur features a lead guitar player who almost sounds like the guy in Furthur who tries to sound just like Garcia. Plus, the setlists are better than Furthur, which are better than the Grateful Dead setlists. ;)

Site is up,lots of work to do,I dont think you can dl any torrent files yet but you can reseed ones if you have them in your torrent client,goin to be a long slog till it gets right....I hate hackers...

How can we get informations? Facebook? You blocking guys should have a place to spread news like being hacked... so that everybody gets those bad news,too. And you should need a way to replace everything again without getting busted. Another question: How does it work? Did you have a chance to save all the stuff anyhow? Like a reset button?

The provider has been messing around, I am assuming" I havnt talked to anybody", that it is an issue on their end,not ours, However,that doesnt mean much. I am sure the puter nerds are working on it as we speak,remember this is a holiday week so getting anyone on the server side is goin to be real hard. I think Goother has LL's facebook page so any updates will probably go through there. I am not on facebook so I dont know...

Hey aLL, goother here. You are probably already aware the site went down sometime on Sunday. We got hit with a crypto-miner malware bug on Fri night/Sat a.m. JayH was able to remove the javascript that allowed the thing to run, but the bad guy somehow got access to the root of the server. The code boys needed to take the site offline to do repairs and hopefully shore up whatever hole allowed this person to get access. The site could be down for up to 3 days. Hopefully not that long, and I will post updates if there are any to share.

Send goother an email, the address is on the first post on the Facebook page , we banned many ips from Europe after the last hack, if you have a static ip , or even one we know the range for , it can get white listed and you can get back on…
