View Full Version : Video pulled was a reseed?

I am not sure exactly what is the problem with this torrent. (Ithink) I re-seeded a previously active torrent. I don't know enough about video to change a darn thing, so it's was archived as I received it. It was active for months with no problems, but this re-seed was pulled in 24 hours.

If it is something that can be fixed, that would be great, but I don't know how to "author" a video. Please explain if it is something in my power to fix.

At this point, I can't tell the file structure you had before but it was not correct. This is not a matter of authoring or anything like that. You just have to have the right files in a properly named directory. Please review the Seeding Guidelines.

VIDEO_TS & Video_ts are not the same thing

So, there was an md5 file tucked into the file named Video_TS. Is that a problem?

I am sure that you know what you are doing. I am new to video (first try). Please be patient with me. I know I am missing something. Just to clarify... that folder is supposed to be labelled VIDEO_TS... right?

I am looking at the filesets and there is simply nothing labeled "VIDEO-ts".
Everything I am seeing shows "VIDEO_TS".

Your folder was labeled Video_ts...it has to be VIDEO_TS in all caps.

VIDEO_TS should be in all caps. That is how it needs to be named when you burn it. Some players are very particular about that sort of thing.

(I will put this on my list of things to check the FAQ for. I can't recall if I specifically state it needs to be in all caps. Sorry, Cicada. edit: Noted in the Video Seeding Policy.)

I love this place and I respect you. I am connected to 47 peers and many of them are currently at 97%, so they will be finishing up in very shortly.

I am looking at the folder and it is labeled in this fashion
Video_TS

I apologize you and the others who decided to roll the dice on this torrent. I simply re-seeded the active torrent from last year, but it does not matter if it was ok in 2007. You are correct in this matter. My bad (and inexperience).

P.S. Now about that MD5 thing... I could have removed it from the "VIDEO_TS" folder. Is that also required for these torrents.

No worries, its appreciated you wanting to share :thumbsup
(I can't recall if I specifically state it needs to be in all caps. Sorry, Cicada. edit: Noted in the Video Seeding Policy.)
Thanx for updating that Lynne

I am still committed to upload this one at Traders Den. I will correctly label the VIDEO_TS folder (all in caps). But first, should the MD5's be pulled out of that folder (and deposited in the master folder)?

I can learn a lot by doing, but don't want to hurt our members who expect the uploader to have his/her act together :) Can you see anything else I can do to make this a success?

yes, better if the md5 is in the main folder not in the VIDEO_TS folder

Im not interested in this show, however, i did want to say that all mods who helped out with this should give themselves a pat on the back for helping cicada to seed this show for anyone who may want it. Fast, courteous service.. what more could anyone ask for? Thats one the reason i keep coming back here. Well done guys!!!
