Sound scratches on dvd

I need some help guys!!!
I'm having a problem that happened to me only 2 or 3 times already,
My torrent is completed, and when I burn it, the sound has scratches on my standalone player, and it don t when I read the file on my computer...
I burned it several times, and always the same scratches!!!
Anyone knows where it s coming from, and what I can do???
The others on the same torrent don t seem to have any problem with this one ( Guns n Roses in Nurburging 2006)

If you are in the US, can be issue with PAL and MPEG audio. Also, stream produced by MPEG Video Wizard is not always 100% DVD compatible, and may cause problems for some players.

Most likely and issue with it being PAL standard. Most Us players won't read PAL so yours might be reading it but not be able to fully decode it properly.

Use ImgBurn to make the disc following this guide and you will get a100% accurate burn. Then if it still plays incorrectly you'll know it's your DVD player.

but after thinking further about my scratches problem, it seems that the dvd s that don t work have all in common to be in a 16/9 ratio screen (BBC programs and Rock am Ring Rockpalast shows are in all in 16/9...),
any idea about that and how I can resolve it?

BBC programs, Rock Am Ring and Rockpalast are usually broadcast in the PAL format, so perhaps your DVD player is having issues with that.

Use G-Spot ( http://www.divx-digest.com/software/gspot.html ) to identify the audio codec used in these recordings. As pawel mentioned, some US DVD players have issues with the MPEG audio codec.

If the discs play fine in your computer then there's nothing wrong with them. There's probably an incompatibility with your standalone DVD player. The easiest way to fix the problem is to get a multi-format DVD player.

I think I found the problem, I tested the dvd on a different tv and dvd standalone player, and it worked well...
Now I m sure that the problem is taht my TV is not okay with 16/9 ratio (it s not the PAL thing, because I m french and I have a dvd player that accept NTSC, PAL and SECAM),

so now you ll know, if someone has sound scratches very annoying on a dvd with a right image, ask him if the show is in 16/9 ratio, if it is, it means that is TV is too old (more than 6 or 8 years) and don t accept 16/9, only 4:3 usual TV screen!
