Are you getting any sort of error message? How large is the torrent file? Do you have the correct announce url in it? I think it's a problem with the torrent file itself because it has not made it onto the tracker (sometimes it does and then I know it's a problem with the thread contents).

The only message I get is: "Upload failed", the file is 23k, and the url I am putting in is: http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/tracker/announce.php

Perhaps it doesn't like the filename? I named it: Sabbath_The_Sting_2_8_ 1994

Dunno if it matters or not. But Azureus wouldn't open the original torrent file. So, I deleted it and created a new one. The new name is Black Sabbath- New Britain, 1994-02-08 Azureus will open it, but i still cannot attach it in the upload torrent page.

I replied. Somehow you had a truncated url in there (http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/...r/announce.php) instead of the full url (http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/tracker/announce.php).

cool, I got it up on the tracker, however, I am being seen as a leecher not a seed when I DL the torrent file from the post? I'll go do some more reading, there has to be an answer to that question here someplace. Thanks for your help.

Afraid I can't figure it out. My client has me as a seeder, but the tracker does not.

I don't know if this is your problem, but... it is a little counter-intuitive. After you get the new torrent file from your post... and it's loaded in your client, you might have to point it to the actual files on your harddrive + select "force re-check" if you are using uTorrent. Oncve you have 100%, you will appear as a seeder.

Thanks for the suggestion. I checked it out, and it is pointed at the right files, and all are showing as d/led at 100%. I looked through the guidelines and faq and can't find anything that discusses this.

You say you show that it is showing as 100% DL'ed... Are you still appearing as a leecher, also? :hmm:

Sorry, but I am not familiar with torrent2 (I use uTorrent).

You prolly know your client as well as anyone. Could there be something in your set up (preferences)? When I set my client up, I had to make sure it would continue to seed unlimited. Something might be preset that won't let you seed (or maybe it was inadvertantly changed).

LOL thanks for the ovation! I think I know what I did wrong. When it wouldn't seed, I remembered that I had set up my client to DL to a specific folder. However, the files I used, AND the torrent file were in another spot. So, I moved them to the right spot. Which turned out to be the wrong thing to do apparently. When I re-did the torrent, I put everything where the client would look and presto!
