This is my first attempt at burning a DvD show and I'm not sure where I've gone wrong. I've downloaded the Herbie Hancock Montreux show http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/showthread.php?t=52848 and used the burn feature in Windows Vista to burn the contents of the VIDEO_TS folder to a DvD+R. I used the "Mastered" format which windows says will allow the disc to be played in a stand-alone DvD player (mine is a Sony). When I load the disc into the DvD player it reads "no audio information" and refuses to play the disc. The disc plays fine on my pc. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've searched the forums a bit and not really found an answer. If this is a completely noob question just point me to a link. Thanks!

Not sure what s*t Vista did to DVD but I expect it re-encoded it. DVD has Dolby Digital audio which is a standard format, so every player has to play it.

Burn disc with with (free) http://www.imgburn.com

Edit: some old standalone players may have problem with DVD-R+. You may try to check with DVD-R- disc type.

Not an expert on authoring by any means, but I had a similar problem. Try demuxing the audio files into elementary streams. The program you use should ask you, and when it does, choose this option.
