EXTERNAL DRIVE NOT WORKING

hi i accidentally dropped by new external drive its a 500gb western digital. it has all my dvd footage it was working now today its not i havnt tried it since the day i dropped it.
is there any way i can save my stuff??

All depends have you opened the case to see if the wires were ok? If it powers up and spins you maybe able to recover some stuff. There are a host of "home" remedies, for unreadable drives from freezing to boiling, once it starts working be prepared to get everything off quickly.

hi for some reaosn its working on my other computer with win 98 its taking abt 2 hours to transur each dvd onto my other external.
