How to search for 5.1 surround / DTS torrents?

Hello
I recently started at TTD (amazing community here!) and have downloaded a few torrents so far. Ratio sucks at the moment but I am working on it!

My question is: How can I search for torrents that have 5.1 audio? Either Dolby Digital or DTS? If I search for "5.1" or "DTS" I get "the following search terms were not included" and nothing comes up. Is there a way to find the increasing number of 5.1 torrents on this site?

Do we have that many videos with 5.1 sound here? I guess if the VBT Mods want, I can add it a an option on the upload page and, if checked, it will show up in the thread title.

DTS isn't allowed here so better to look elsewhere for that.

DTS not allowed? I've seen a couple DTS DVDs here (well they also contain a stereo LPCM track so it's not like you couldn't utilize it anyway).

And no, I don't *think* there are that many 5.1 torrents here, but since I could only search on "surround" I couldn't really tell. Anyway it'd be nice to be able to search on the term "5.1".

Oh, and Five, you just made my day! I have the stereo version of that DVD and it is amazing. I can't wait to hear the 5.1 version!!!!

I think you're right and I'm wrong. I could've sworn seeing it posted that DTS was not allowed here but I can't find it (can't search "DTS" LOL) and I see it mentioned in the examples of audio for video codecs in the FAQ :hmm:

You're welcome... that one is probably my favorite DVD that's ever been posted on this site. But I would double-check, as far as I know there is no stereo version in circulation (compare the md5 with your copy). If you have a different version I would really like to trade you for it, I could save you a lot of time downloading ;) ;)

The 5.1 version seeded here is taken from the 2nd broadcast, has some slight edits to the interview segments ( :cry: ) and a little intro at the beginning added to mention that Shannon is no longer with us.

Also the WS94 DVD has only surfaced in 2.0 without color correction and there are 5.1 copies out there from the same author ... would also love to trade for one of those.

AND there's a couple AUD DVDs of melon out there at well, but the quality is much lower of course (looking for those as well, its all over youtube).

ok here's TWO good ways to find all the DTS/5.1 mixes and DVD-A's you'll ever need

Qbittorrent add the python + plugins and make a few custom scripts if you can ..

if not still fine and you'll find TONS.. now on to part duex

usenet with giganews + newsleecher + supersearch

giganews is the server
newsleecher is the reader
supersearch searches all usenet articles up to i think it's 1550 days atm...
correct me if im wrong but i think that's the retention now a days meaning how long the files stay on the servers. and available to users with an unlimited account
