Yes another dumbass question from King Dumbass. I did everything as required to seed my Rush - Auburn remaster show. Attempted to download as required but I cannot download nor am I showing as seed/leech. Scoured the FAQ and did what was asked pertaining to uTorrent but no avail. Can someone teall me what I did wrong and how I can fix this? I have a few shows I want to share here but I'm struggling.

Thanks again for your time

Exit uTorrent and re-open. This works for me, anyways.

You are pointing your torrent to the wrong folder for seeding. Did you read this part of the FAQ:

For uTorrent:

* Stop the torrent (red square)
* Remove it from uTorrent (red X)
* Go to Options > Preferences > Downloads tab and uncheck the option to "Put new download in"
* Now start the torrent downloaded from the thread
* uTorrent should now ask you where to save the files
* Point it to the folder you pointed to when you made the torrent.

You need to have uTorrent ask you where to download the show. And, when it asks you, point to the same folder you selected when you made the torrent file originally. And if that folder doesn't work, point it to the folder that contains the folder you originally selected.

Yes I did scour for the wonderful info here on the site. I did just what you said and it's still nothing. This is my first upload attempt so there are so many areas of possible problems. I also followed the other patron's advice but to no avail. :(

Try and download the torrent from your posted page on TTD again and point it to the folder on your computer.

So exactly what is it that is happening? What steps are you able to perform and which ones do you think may be the problem? Are you being asked about which folder to save the files in?

OK, I attempt to download my show from TTD via uTorrent. It loads and I see peers but I never seed and there is no activity. I went back via instructions to click the preference pages as they were wrong the first time (set fine now). I've tried every thing since. Now the original torrent is in my "G" drive and that is where I save all downloads from here, Dime etc. This is an external drive. The only prompt I get is "what do I want to do with file" (save/open tried both just in case) Last is it asks where I want to put it and I put in in "G".

Shall I try to save it to the torrent folder IN the "G" drive rather just the "G"? Thanks and I'm so sorry for all of this. Main reason I've avoided upping so long.

Does utorrent show you having the file at 100%? If not, you need to put it where utorrent is looking for it (completed shows, download folder, whichever)

Also, if it is seeing it at 100%, are you on comcast?

If the show you are seeding is on an external drive

that could be an issue move it to a hd on your pc and then try seeding

OK, uTorrent shows 99.9% done. I just followed more advice and put the file from the external G drive to the C drive (my HD). That still didn't fix it. It's upping fine, just not showing any seeders. The torrent is only in one place so I don't know how it's not "seeing" it. What shall I do? Don't want people to get far along and have to start all over. UUUGGGHHHHHHH

You have to start over

now that you have moved the file make a new torrent file and re upload you should have no issue

the 99.9 usually means that something has been altered txt file or something after you made the original torrent file

if you do it correctly no one will lose anything they can reconnect to the new file and pick up where they left off

If you're using uTorrent 1.73 you might have problems with created torrents and leeches only getting to 99.9%. Update to 1.75 if you haven't already. Hope that helps.
