how do i know if its ok to post a particular artists?

i wanna post a 2 live crew dvd but i dont know the setlist or their trade policy-any help

what about gg allin dvds? you can buy dvd from his website, does this mean no trade?

If the artist is not on our Band Restriction Policy (http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/faq.php?faq=removal#faq_band_restriction) list, then it is OK for it to be posted here (it seems every site has a different list, although with many of the same artists).

If you don't know the setlist, I've seen people just put numbers, ie.
1.)
2.)
...
14.)

and then asked for someone to help with the setlist. Then just correct the first post and tell people to correct their text files (they should give the text file a different name, ie. thebandxxxx-yy-zznew.txt so as to not get it overwritten).

As for whether a show is officially released or not, that is always the hardest. Usually if a band has it listed for sale on their official website, then it is NOT OK to be shared here. Finding it at amazon.com used to be a good way to tell, but amazon now has bootlegs listed on their also. If you aren't sure, a good thing to do is to post something in here asking for help (put the artist in the thread title to attract the right attention).

let me get this straight, its only banned if that particular dvd is for sale on the site? if i have one thats not for sale can i post it?

For sale is not a good indicator since many bootlegs are now for sale. If an artist (living or dead) has ever released a video officially (via Amazon, Netflix, their website or whatever) then it not allowed here. But if you or someone else taped it at the same time as the official recording was taped then it is fine since it is a not an official recording. Ain't it fun? :lol

arron i didnt realize http://ggallin.com/catalog_video.php there is 3 pages of dvds, its unlikely i have one thats not up there, the only possiblitie i found would be 12-7-91 from new york. I really just wanna bring some humor to this place, shit filled humor. But I got a 2 live crew dvd thats pretty funny, has that been seeded here?

another thing i wanted to clear up is re-seeds, how do i know if something is a reseed, now that i know how to upload, id like to start sharing more, and guidelines and tips would be cool.

If it isn't listed on that site, then feel free to seed it. You might try the search function and search titles in the Video forums for "crew" and see if that other video has been up here.

It is only a reseed if it has been up here before and the thread is currently sitting in the Inactive forum.
