Joining a Seed or Reseeding Existing Torrent

There are many requests to help seed Billy Cobham torrent:

I am am the original seeder and I recently found the actual DVD I used to create the torrent. I do not have the original txt file or anything else. How can I rejoin this torrent and help seed?

We don't keep the text files around. However, I notice that some users have about 75% of the show. It may be that they already have the text file. So, if you join the torrent with just your VIDEO_TS folder, you may start at 99.9% but end up getting the other .01% from someone who already has it.

I DLed the torrent file and pointed it toward a folder containing the VIDEO_TS.
It checks existsing and reulsts in the following error message:
Critical: IO Error [Errno 13] Permission denied: '/Users/matthewhughen/Desktop/Billy Cobham in Montreux/VIDEO_TS/VIDEO_TS.BUP'

i am using bittorrent on a mc runing jaguar if that helps.

i haad to rinse soak repeat the process about three times. . . but it finally DLed the txt and then -rinse soak repeat- a few more and it has lined me up as a seeder.
