View Full Version : What to do with .DTS files?

Hello again, I have a question here regarding .DTS files.

My situation:
1. Downloaded a few DTS CD's.
2. DTS files would not drag into any cd burning software.
3. SO...I burned them as data disc's.
4. My 5.1 home theater DVD/CD player / Reciever w/ the dts logo would'nt play the disc.

Every forum Q&A I've found along the web just says "Burn .DTS files like a regular cd"...I don't think so, CD burning software does not recognize the .DTS files!

What do I do to get .DTS surround sound files (tracks) burned onto a cd?

You might want to take a look at this link: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/2/159100 It says that you need to extract the wav files using something like DVD Audio Extractor and then burn those wav files.

Wolf, there you go browsing the same forum I am and replying at the same time I do. :icon_hug:

also, try renaming .dts to .wav - then burn.
